Research In Motion (RIM) has announced the launch of the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone featuring a new bold design and sensitive touch display screen.
Running on a majestic processor, the BlackBerry Bold 9790, which will be available in Singapore on 8 December through authorized partners, features a compact design, high resolution touch display and a highly tactile keyboard with a precise optical trackpad.
Powered by BlackBerry 7 OS, the new device sports a powerful Marvel Taylor MG1 1 GHz processor for fast performance for browsing the web, running apps, working with documents, and enjoying multimedia content. The mobile phone has 8GB of onboard memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB via memory card slot.
Apart from that, the new BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone, which is basically a smaller, less expensive version of the Bold 9900, will also boasts a 2.44-inch display screen with 480×360 pixels resolution and a 5 MP camera with the resolution of 2592×1944 pixels, which supports autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection and image stabilization.
The BlackBerry Bold 9790, which also features built-in support for Augmented Reality and NFC, packs a battery that provides standby time of up to 432 hours and talk time of up to 5 hours 10 minutes as well as provides music play time of up to 33 hours. Other features include SMS, MMS, Email, Push Email and Instant Messaging. Connectivity includes GPRS, 3G and Bluetooth.
